Marjorie Jewel Bradley Durrance, 93, of Denton, passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2016 in Denton. She was born June 29, 1922 in Salina, KS to Harry Newkirk Bradley and Retta Critchfield Bradley. She had retired as Executive Secretary from SGS Thompson in Carrollton.
Visitation will be Friday, March 11, 2016 from 6:00 – 7:30 P.M. at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Funeral service will be Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at First Baptist Church in Denton with Dr. Jeff Williams officiating. Burial will be in Salina, KS in Roselawn Memorial Park on Monday, March 14, 2016 at 11:00 A.M.
She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Davis of Oxford, NY; son, Neil Durrance of Denton; grandchildren, Michal Bradley Durrance of Dallas, Matthew Edward Durrance of Atlanta, GA, and Lea Kathleen Davis of Oxford, NY. She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Bill Bradley and a daughter, Ellen Durrance Gary. She also leaves behind many lifelong and faithful friends in Denton
Mrs. Durrance was a devoted daughter, sister, mother and loving grandmother. She was an active member of First Baptist Church until her illness limited her attendance.
The family of Mrs. Durrance extends their gratitude to the many hearts and hands who attended her in her final days including the nursing staff at Denton Senior Care and VNA Ann's Haven Hospice.
