Martin Luther Wells, born on March 13, 1952, in Denton, Texas, passed away at his home in Corinth, Texas, on December 1, 2024, at the age of 72.

Marty was such a loving man to his wife, family and friends. He not only told you he loved you, but he showed you. Marty was a strong protector to his family and a brother to his friends. He always stood up for the people he cares about. He would think about their well-being when making decisions and always has been there no matter what. He lived a happy life. If he could make a joke, he would, because he loved to make people laugh.

Engineering was his true calling. He enjoyed the aspects of figuring out how things worked. There was not much that he could not fix. Marty had many hobbies. He loved fishing and hunting. He had a passion for tools and guns. He was a ham radio enthusiast. He enjoyed working on cars and motorcycles but loved driving them even more. There was never a toy that Marty didn't like.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Debbie Wells, and their sons, Jason Wells and his wife Meghan of Denton, Texas, and Brandon Wells and his wife Paige of Plano, Texas. Martin was a proud grandfather to Jacob Wells, and his wife, Jessica, Ryan Wells, and Paige Curry, and her husband, Seth, and a great-grandfather to Noah Wells.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerrel and Florence Wells, sister, Patricia Williams, and brother, Colin Wells.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, from 6 PM until 8 PM at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors.
