Mary “Kathy” Bellar's Obituary

Mary Katherine "Kathy" Bellar, 65, of Thackerville, OK passed away on July 7, 2019 in Oklahoma.  She was born on January 9,1954 in Denton, TX to Jewel and Alma Faye Cross.

Kathy Bellar grew up in Aubrey, TX where she attended Aubrey ISD and graduated in 1972.  She later worked for Aubrey ISD as a substitute teacher and a preschool teacher.  During that time she worked with students with special needs.  She had a true heart for all children, but found her work with special needs students most fulfilling.  She was known to many as a woman who loved her family and friends with all her heart.  She selflessly put others ahead of herself on a daily basis and was always quick to let you know how much you mattered.  Kathy loved spending time in her garden, cooking, attending concerts at Winstar Casino with her husband, as well as watching her favorite baseball and football teams play.  She definitely loved yelling at the TV when watching her Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers.  Perhaps her greatest treasure in life, though, was her family.  She fiercely loved her four children and six grandchildren as well as her extended family.  Nothing made her happier than to dote on her grandbabies.

She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Bellar of Thackerville, OK; daughter, Alisha Bellar of Thackerville, OK; sons, Ronald Wayne Bellar Jr. and wife, Kelly of Wiley, TX, Jeremy Paul Bellar of Thackerville, OK, Adam Craig Bellar and wife, Danielle of Aubrey, TX, as well as sister, Carolyn Howell and husband Cotton of Grandbury, TX and brother Eddie Cross and wife Melinda of Bolivar, TX and her six grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her mother and father and brother, Jimmy Cross.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 12, 2019 from 10-11 A.M. at the First Baptist Church of Krugerville, TX.  Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Sam Redfern officiating. Interment will follow at Belew Cemetery in Pilot Point, Texas.
