Obituary

Mary Junia Chapman was born March 12, 1927, in Denton, Texas. She passed away at the Senior Center in Denton on May 3, 2012.

Junia lived in Pilot Point, Texas after retiring with 30 years of service at McKesson Robins, a major drug distribution company in Arlington, Texas.

She is survived by a sister-in-law, Jean Chapman of Beaumont, Texas, her nephew Harvey Chapman, and his son Brandon and his two sons Chase and Robert, cousins Cub and Nell Amos of Dallas, and their two children Kyle and Christina, Art and Cheryl Espenas, and their sons Trey and Colby of Denton, Gary and Lee Graham of San Diego and Oklahoma City.

Junia had many friends in Pilot Point, Arlington, Dallas, and Denton. She had positive political beliefs, which she shared with anyone who would listen. She especially enjoyed her neighbor get togethers for holidays throughout the years, and made "stuffed Bears" available to all. Junia was very generous in contributing monies to local charities and devoting time serving "Meals-on-Wheels".

Ms. Chapman's first love was traveling most of the major areas in the United States by herself. When she could no longer drive on long trips, her second love was genealogy, which she has shared with most of the family descendants.

Mary Junia's visitation will be on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 from 6-8 pm at DeBerry Funeral Directors, at 2025 West University Dr. The service will be in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors, Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
