Mary Marie Baker Daniel passed away on Monday, December 30, 2024 in Denton County, Texas. Marie was born in Hamilton County, Texas on July 31, 1931. She was the youngest of ten surviving children born to Azaria "A.R." Baker and Annie Leonard Baker. She graduated from Evant High School.

She met James William "Bill" Daniel in Fort Worth, Texas at Container Corporation where they both worked. They were married on November 25, 1952. They had two sons, James and Tommy. Marie later worked at Edison's Jewelers and then Pier 1 Imports. In 1990, she and Bill relocated to Mannsville, Oklahoma where they lived until Bill's death in 2017. Marie was an active member of Mannsville First Baptist Church until she moved from Oklahoma to Texas to live nearer her sons and their families.

Marie enjoyed time spent with family, reading and enthusiastically rooting for both the Dallas Cowboys and the Dallas Mavericks. She was preceded in death by her husband, her grandson, Ethan Daniel, all of her siblings and both of her parents. She will forever be remembered for her love of family.

Marie is survived by son James R. Daniel and his wife Ann, son Tommy L. Daniel and his wife Cathy, granddaughter Jamie Winter and her husband Max, granddaughter Brittany Daniel, granddaughter Megan Daniel as well as numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.

A celebration of Marie's life will be held on Saturday, February 8, at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. with the service to follow at 11:00.
