Mary Louise Drennan, 88, of Denton passed away Saturday, December 3, 2016 at the Lake Forest Good Samaritan Village. Mary was born July 31, 1928 in Sanger, TX to Harold Simpson and Ruth Alyne Willis Simpson. Mary was orphaned at age 12. She started working at 15 and progressed from telephone operator to switchboard supervisor at the Lone Star Gas Co. and later became a corporate communications manager. Mary obtained her Bachelor's degree at the age of 50. She married Billy Trigg Morris in 1945, after his untimely death she married Marshall Drennan Jr. on February 14, 1953. Mary attended the First Baptist Church of Sanger, TX.
Mary is survived by her five children, daughter, Anita Morris Thompson of Salt Lake city UT, sons, Billy T. Morris Jr. of Denton, Robert H. Morris of Lone Oak, Marshall Drennan III of Carrollton, Timothy W. Drennan of Quinlan and two faithful canine companions, Patrick and Molly. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, brother Harold Simpson Jr. and two husbands.
The family will be at DeBerry Funeral Directors on Wednesday night from 6-8 P.M. for visitation. Funeral Services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 8, 2016 in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors with Dr. E.L. "Skip" McNeal officiating. Burial will follow at Bolivar Cemetery west of Sanger.
