Mary Ernestine Hill, 80 of Denton passed away on August 23, 2014, in Plano, Texas. She was born on August 26, 1933 to Ernest and Aletha Boofer Scott in Commerce, Texas. She graduated from Commerce High School and later married Claude Hill in Commerce, Texas on September 4, 1955.

She was a retired bookkeeper and a member of the First Baptist Church in Denton, Texas and one of fifteen children.

She is survived by her Son, Scott Hill of Ponder, Texas; a daughter, Leslie Hill Oveson of Ponder; grandchildren Justin Palpant, Jessica Hill and Shelby Hill, four sisters and five brothers.

She is preceded in death by her Husband, Claude Hill; parents, Ernest and Aletha Scott, four sisters and one brother.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 PM at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas. Funeral services will be officiated by Reverend Eddy Meek on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton, Texas.
