Mary Ann (Sabo) Farmer went to be with her Lord at the age of 82. She passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by loved ones on October 5, 2020. She was born in Freeman, West Virginia to James and Pauline Sabo on September 12, 1938. She was a graduate of Bramwell High School in Bramwell, WVA.
She married Glenn Farmer on November 12, 1956 and they raised five children together. Glenn served our country and they traveled to many places during their life together.
Mary had a servant's heart, and worked many years as a Nurses aid in the area hospitals and nursing homes. She retired from Gunter ISD where she worked in the elementary cafeteria preparing food for the children.
Mary loved her family and her joy was cooking meals and visiting with them. Everyone enjoyed her food, she always put that extra bit of love in each dish. You never went away hungry.
Mary enjoyed watch sports on the weekends. She was an avid football fan and enjoyed watching the NASCAR races on Sunday cheering on her favorite drivers.
She was preceded in death by her parents James and Pauline Sabo, her husband Glenn Farmer, two sisters Carol Byrd and Bonnie Dawson.
She is survived by a brother Jay Sabo and wife Kathy, three sons, Glenn Farmer Jr and wife Renee, James Farmer and wife Teri, Robert Farmer and wife Sandra, two daughters; Kathy Davis, and Sandra DeMarco and husband Jeff.
12 grandchildren; Jennifer, Niki, Jessica, Melissa, Christy, Gary, James Allen, Randi Michelle, Sammy, Brandi, Amanda, and Stephanie.
26 Great-Grandchildren, Caden, Cambree, Zach, Madisyn, Emalyn, Camryn, Collyns, Landry, Millie, Ava, Alex, Wesley, Kallie, Jamie, Jacan, Jaden, Haven, Harley, Charlie, Paige, Drake, Chloe, Annabell, Makala, Maddison and Brant.
Numerous nieces, nephews and friends
Visitation for Mary will be from October 7, 2020 from 5:00PM – 7:00PM at DeBerry Funeral home at 2025 W. University Drive in Denton, Texas. The Celebration of Life Service will be held at Mount Carmel Baptist Church east of Tioga on FM 121, on October 8, 2020 at 2:00 PM.
Burial will be at the Tioga Cemetery.
