Obituary

On Saturday, August 6, 2022 Mary Charlotte (Stout) Frampton, loving wife, mother of 3 children, and Meme to 2 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, peacefully passed away at the age of 88.

She was born on August 3, 1934 in Dalhart, TX. This was during the great depression and dust bowl era of West Texas and surrounding areas. She spent her high school years enjoying her brother Don and sister Betty, as well as playing high school basketball. She attended Oklahoma A&M College (now Oklahoma State) and married William Arlin Frampton after his return from serving our country in Korea. She worked to put dad through college (Texas Tech) while also starting their family. She had many interesting hobbies and jobs including working in radio and tv in the 1950s and 1960s. She loved following her boys around to their various sporting events and eventually did the same for her grandsons. She also loved to play tennis and bridge and was really good at both.

Mom and Dad called Amarillo home but moved in 2014 to a peaceful country property near Valley View, TX to be closer to family. After Dad's passing in 2020 Mom called A Joyful Journey her home (a neighborhood group-care home) to get the very loving and special care she needed.

Mom and Dad were married for 68 years prior to his death, and she is also predeceased by her parents Dick and Helen Stout, her sister Betty Stout Wilcoxon, and brother Don Stout. She is survived by her loving family, son Stan and wife Danica of Austin TX, son Scott of Donna TX, son Gary and wife Kendra of Denton TX, grandson Craig and wife Lauren of Corinth TX (great-grandson Landry and great-granddaughter Hattie), grandson Sean and wife Anny of Boise, Idaho (great-grandbaby on the way).

Mom will be laid to rest at the DFW National Cemetery next to Dad in a small family service at a later date. As Mom's faith in Jesus Christ was the center of her life, in lieu of flowers or gifts, please honor her by paying it forward …show grace by being kind and loving to others.
