Mary Elizabeth Garcia-Bitzel, 58, of Shady Shores passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2015 in Dallas. She was born October 17, 1956 in Abilene to Carlos and Beatrice Arispe Garcia. She was married to Ed Bitzel. She worked for the U.S. Postal Service.
A memorial service will be Monday, July 20, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at The Village Church, 1700 Highland Village Rd., Highland Village, Texas 75077.
She is survived by her husband, Ed Bitzel of Shady Shores; daughters, Andrea Parker of Corinth, Alexandria Sofia Blackmon of Sugarland, and Alanna Mae Bitzel of Austin; son, Bertus Chalmers Parker III of Denton; sister, Alice Martinez of Abilene; brothers, Artie Olvera and Carlos Garcia, Jr., both of Abilene; and 2 grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her mother and sister, Sylvia Rios.
