Mary Katherine Grissom Gray, 88 of Denton, passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2013. She was born on September 9, 1925 in Denton to George Henry "Splawn" Grissom and Bessie Briggs Grissom. She married Glenn Wayne Gray in Denton on October 31, 1944.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2013 from 6-8 pm at DeBerry Funeral Directors. A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 15, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Trinity Cemetery in Denton with Rev. Buddy Owens officiating.

Katherine is survived by her son, Glenn Wayne Gray, Jr. and wife Missie; grandson, Brandon Gray and wife Lisa; granddaughter, Breana Smithers and husband David; and great grandchildren, Olivia and Vivian Gray, Rylee and Ryder Smithers. She is preceded in death by her husband; her parents; sisters, Ardell Jeter, Pauline Brown, and Sydney Mae Hilger; and brothers, W.D. Grissom and John Grissom.
