IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mary Estelle
Jensen
April 30, 1943 – January 21, 2018
Mary Estelle Jensen, 74, of Little Elm, Texas, passed from this life Sunday, January 21, 2018, in Denton, Texas. Mary was born April 30, 1943, in Rome, NY, the daughter of the late Albert Conrand and Estella Marie (Eames) Dellamore.
Mary married the love of her life, Cornelius Jensen, April 20, 1963, in Penn Yan, NY, where they lived until 1982 when they moved to The Colony, Texas. She was an expert cake decorator, working from home and for 34 years in local bakeries, until her retirement in 2016.
Mary was full of life. She enjoyed collecting antiques, home renovation, reading, cooking, sewing, and working with crafts of many kinds. She was fond of sitting by the pool in summer and beside the fireplace in winter, watching football, outdoor gardening and doting on her pets. More than anything Mary loved her family and the time they spent together. She was a super Grammies. She was a good friend.
Holidays were truly special occasions to Mary. Her favorite celebration was Christmas when she decorated elaborately throughout the home. Her trimmings went up before Thanksgiving and came down after Little Christmas. She baked cookies for the family and the neighbors, made ornaments and went out of her way to make each family member feel special. Mary always did things her way. Everyone knew it would be "Mary's way."
