Mary Elizabeth Parr passed away peacefully on Monday, September 29, 2025, in Flower Mound, Texas, at the age of 85. She was born on December 22, 1939, in Pampa, Texas.
In 1957, Mary married the love of her life, Ambrose Gene Parr. Their marriage was a beautiful example of lifelong devotion, and together they built a family grounded in love, laughter, and faith. She was preceded in death by her husband Gene, her son Jay Parr, her parents Viola and Weldon Bullard, and her sisters Doris Walker, Quannah Smith and Kathryn Smith.

Mary is survived by her sons, Mike Parr and Sam Parr; daughters-in-law, Denise Parr and Sunny Parr; and grandchildren, Chris Parr and wife Joyce, Aaron Parr and wife Janie, Jordan Parr, Joe Parr, Kara Staton and husband Andrew, Kobie Parr, and Kassie Parr. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Brooklyn, Bryonna, Kurt, Briann, Iris and Brian; and great-great-grandchildren Alice and Thea. Her surviving siblings include Martha Butler, Patricia Weatherall, Rick Bullard, and Bill Bullard. She was also survived by multiple nieces and nephews.

Mary, lovingly known as "Mema," will be remembered for her vibrant personality, quick wit, and her deep love for family. She had a gift for making people feel special and was happiest when surrounded by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren making memories that will be cherished for generations.

She had a magical touch in the kitchen — everything she made was filled with love and comfort. Her meals weren't just food — they were how she cared for people.

Mary also had a soft spot for dachshunds, and her love for her "weenie dogs" brought her a lot of joy over the years.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and laughter — one that lives on in everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
