Mary Lou Scott Batey Hiltz Dean, 87 of Denton, Texas went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 18, 2018 in Tioga, Texas. She was born on October 30, 1930 in Denton, Texas to William Thomas Lee and Ola Mae (West) Scott.

"Created in Heaven, placed on Earth, returning to Heaven her first Estate.

Mary Lou is survived by son, William Ray Batey Jr., daughter, Sherry Lynn Batey Swink, granddaughters, Barbie Louise Batey, Shelley Jezek, Lisa Whitley, grandsons, William Mitchel Batey and William Ryan Batey, 4 great grandchildren, sister, Bonnie Scott Latham, brother, William Lee Scott, Jr.

She is preceded in death by her father, William Thomas Lee Scott, mother, Ola Mae West, sisters, Leola Bell Williams/Mullens, Markaletta Kay Fanning, brother, Tommy Lee Scott and grandson, William Warren Batey.

The family will receive friends on Monday, May 21, 2018 from 6-8 P.M. for visitation at DeBerry Funeral Directors. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Roselawn Memorial Park.
