Mary Anna Sewalt, 96, past longtime Denton resident, passed away Friday, April 25, 2014 in McKinney. She was born December 27, 1917 in Childress, TX to Edward E. and Lena Bowman Wood. She married W. Anson Sewalt in New York City, NY in October of 1942. He preceded her in death. She was a member of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church and retired from North Texas University Faculty Senate.

A memorial service will be Monday, April 28, 2014 at 2:00 pm at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church with Rev. Lisa Patterson officiating.

She is survived by her daughters, Sherry Sewalt Shea of McKinney and Charlotte Sewalt Jarrett of Fairburn, GA; son, Kevin Stavely Sewalt of Dallas; 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made to Hope Charity, Habitat for Humanity or St. Andrew Presbyterian Church.
