Mary Ellen Young, 89, of Bartonville passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at her home. She was born June 2, 1929 in New York City, New York to Marcus and Virginia Boarman. Mary Ellen married Russell Julian Young October 9, 1954 in Munich, Germany. She was a member of St. Marks Catholic Church. Mary Ellen is preceded in death by her husband Russell and her parents Marcus and Virginia Boarman.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Thursday, August 2, 2018 at St. Mark Catholic Church in Argyle with Father George officiating. There will be a "viewing" at the church immediately before the service, beginning at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be at DFW National Cemetery at 2:00 P.M..

Mary is survived by her daughters Bridget Williams of Bartonville, TX, Mary Young of Delhi, NY, Sheila Weidner of Singapore and Jennifer Young of Ashland VA, sons Gregory Young of Austin, TX, Marcus Young of Elgin, TX, Russell Young of Lakeland, FL, Christopher Young of Fort Collins, CO and John Young of Harpers Ferry, WV, sister Barbara Kennedy of Alexandria, VA, 17 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Mary Ellen was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and she will be greatly missed.
