Max Willard Stockwell, 87 of Denton went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 28, 2017 in Denton, Texas surrounded by family. He was born on February 28, 1930 in Gosfield Twp., Essex Co. Toronto Ontario, Canada to Alvin and Ethel (Upcott) Stockwell.

Max is survived by his wife, Joyce, three sons, Brian Stockwell, Darren Stockwell, Dan (Kim) Stockwell, step-son, Mike (Bernadette) Lambert, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Laverne Stockwell, two brothers, Dewey Stockwell and Al Stockwell.

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 1, 2017 from 6-8 P.M.  Funeral services will be Friday June 2, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. both at DeBerry Funeral Directors, burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers are Shawn Lambert, Kevin Lambert, Roddy Adams, Rocky Turner, Lance Turner, Chase Stockwell, Cameron Stockwell, Carson Stockwell and Courtney Stockwell as Honorary Pallbearer.
