Mazie Darlene Nugent passed away in Denton, Texas on Wednesday, March 23, 2022. She was born in Fort Worth, Texas on March 17, 1953 to Jesse and Margaret Wortham. She was a loving mother to Angela Smith, Jesse Nugent and grandmother to Jessica Nugent, John and David Smith and Payton Smith. Mazie loved to be outside, playing bingo, and just being with her family.

She is survived by her children, 4 step-grandchildren, and 23 step-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Joe David Nugent, her brother Mickey Wortham, sister Glenda Burnett and her stepfather John Hughes.
