Mathew Donald "M.D." Gresham passed away at his home in Denton, Texas on Friday, August 4, 2023. M.D. was born in Krum, Texas on January 25, 1929 to Theottis and Ella Gresham. He served in the Army during the Korean war and after his service he worked drilling water wells for a few years, then on to waterproofing for Western Waterproofing and was an avid Farmer all his life. M.D. married Charlene Volkman on July 22, 1950.  He and Charlene spent many weekends at The Farm tending the cows.  He loved to be in the tractor working the field or working around The Farm.  He truly enjoyed spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by his wife, Charlene; daughter, Sue; parents and siblings.

Visitation will be held at DeBerry Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 from 5PM to 7PM. Funeral services are scheduled for 10AM, Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at the Krum Church of Christ. M.D. will be laid to rest at Jackson Cemetery in Krum. Pallbearers will be Matt Gresham, Phil Marlar, Farren Hornbuckle, Josh Swanson, Keith Hornbuckle and Bryce Swanson. Honorary pallbearers Ryan and Wyatt Marlar.

M.D. is survived by his son Don Gresham and wife, Janie; granddaughters Kristy Gresham and Kody Marlar (Phil) and grandson Matt Gresham. M.D. is also survived by his six great-grandsons, Farren Hornbuckle, Josh Swanson, Keith Hornbuckle, Bryce Swanson, Ryan Marlar and Wyatt Marlar; sister, Mary Pennington and numerous nieces and nephews.
