Mearl Wayman Grisham, 82, of Denton, passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2012. He was born on December 31, 1929 in Ozark Mts, MO to Earnest Grisham and Hester Huse Grisham. He married Bessie Lee Jones in 1978. He served in the Navy and in the Air Force.



Visitation will be on Sunday, May 27, 2012 from 2-4 pm at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton. A funeral service will be on Monday, May 28, 2012 at 10:30 am at the Aubrey Faith Assembly of God with Rev. Buddy Owens and Rev. James Judd officiating. Burial will follow at Belew Cemetery in Aubrey. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Aubrey Faith Assembly of God church.



Mearl is survived by his wife, Bessie; son, Don Grisham; step son, Maurice Johnson; sisters, Ernestine Gaddy, Caroline Walters, Lena Osborne, and Mildred Haytter; and 3 grandchildren, Lindsay, Sydney, and Allie Grisham. He is preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws, Ben and Exey Jones; and brothers, George, Claude, and Thurman Grisham.
