Melvin Edgar Lane passed away Saturday, August 14, 2021 in Denton, Texas. He was born in Pocahontas, Arkansas to Leslie and Genevieve Lane on April 12, 1934. Melvin enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing craps, watching wrestling, family gatherings, and family pets.  He is preceded in death by his wife, parents and brother, sister, and two step children.

Visitation will be held from 5PM to 7PM at DeBerry Funeral Directors on Wednesday, August 18, 2021. A graveside service is scheduled for 10:30AM, Thursday at Roselawn Memorial Park.

Melvin is survived by

Children: Kenneth Lane, Howard Bradshaw, Laverne Holmes, Dennis Bradshaw, and Demetra Lynch.

Grandchildren: Sarah Lane, Hannah Lane, Benjamin Lane, Charlie Lane, Zachary Bradshaw, Kimberly Kimerstine, Jessica Duffe, Corey Holmes, Marshall Holmes, Amanda Bradshaw, Cassondra Rangel, Johnathon Rangel.

Great Grandchildren: Kirsten Graham, Damion Brown, Neveah Womack, James Womack IV, Benjamin Rangel, Emma Rangel, Camilla Holmes, and Charlie Holmes.

Nieces and Nephews: Donna, Debbie, Bobby, Dennice Davis, Eddie Belcher, Bobbie Young
