Melvin Jack Mitchell, 68, of Krum TX passed away on August 7, 2020 in Decatur TX.

Melvin was born on November 4,1951 in Denton TX to Melvin F. "Jack" Mitchell and Catherine S. Mitchell. He attended Denton High School. He went on to join the Army and served in Vietnam. He currently worked for Sacred Cross EMS in Denton TX. Melvin was loved and cherished by many and will truly be missed.

He is survived by his daughters and their husbands, Lisa and Michael Hartin of Krum TX, Amy and Dave Barton of Krum TX, his Mother Catherine S. Mitchell of Krum TX, his sisters and their husbands, Regina Wilkes of San Antonio TX, Susan and Herbert Williams of Decatur TX, Cheryl and Tony Rose of Krum, TX. His grandchildren Taylor Hartin, Kinley Hartin and Ganyn Barton.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 12,2020 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Bill DeBerry Funeral Directors.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 13,2020 at 10:00am at New Life Baptist Church on Gregg Rd. In Krum,TX. Grave side will follow at Jackson Cemetery in Krum
