Melvin Lowe Pannell, 84, of Denton passed away Thursday, December 20, 2018 at his home. He was born in Bennett, Texas to J.F. and Ruby Lowe on March 16, 1934. Melvin married Mary Jane Gregory on September 6, 1952 in Fort Worth, Texas.

They both liked to travel and lived in Rockport, Texas for 12 years. They made life long friends all over Texas, Arizona, Colorado and Iowa and had a wonderful life. "We made it."

A memorial service is scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Saturday, December 22, 2018 at DeBerry Funeral Directors with Rev. Buddy Owens and Rev. Sam Redfearn officiating. Visitation will be after the service.

Melvin is survived by his wife Mary Jane Pannell, daughter Lorri Pannell McNutt, son Joe Bob Pannell, sister Nellie Moralez, 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
