Michael H. McMahan born March 18, 1949 in Denton, TX, passed at his home on January 5th after a short battle with cancer. He graduated from Denton High School and attended NTU Denton. He worked at GTE/Verizon for 27 years, then retired after 15 years with Frontier Communications in Burnsville, MN. He was preceded in death by his father Keneth McMahan, his mother Charlene (Gilbreath) McMahan Sartan, and his sister Patricia (McMahan) Seward.

Visitation will be held Sunday, January 9, 2022 from 12PM to 2PM at DeBerry Funeral Directors, 2025 W. University Drive, Denton, TX. Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, January 10, 2022 in the chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors with Pastor Mary Clare Lowrance officiating. Burial will follow at Belew Cemetery in Aubrey. Pallbearers will be Tony McMahan, Thomas Jenkins, Mark McCord, Kevin McCord, Drew McCord and Taylor Carroll.

Michael is survived by his wife of 35 years, Annie (Metrick) McMahan, son Tony McMahan, wife Victoria, Cave Creek, AZ; daughter Angela McMahan, Grand Prairie, TX; sister Debbie (McMahan) McCord and Beloved Aunt Wilma Carroll, Denton, TX. He has 6 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren, 10 Nieces and Nephews, and several cousins.
