Michael Quest Menzie passed away Friday, March 5, 2021 in Denton, Texas. He was born in Gainesville, Texas to Ovilia Quest and Kathleen Menzie on April 13, 1944. Michael graduated from Sunset High School he loved to play football. He attended trade schools and received degrees in welding and dry cleaning. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Air Force and served four years for the country that he loved.
Michael was a man of many trades.
He enjoyed working for his parents in their dry cleaning business, working in the oil fields of west Texas and finally retiring from Peterbilt Motors in Denton, Texas. In his spare time he enjoyed his garden, flying his plane, and riding his many motorcycles with his sons over the years. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with all his family at Lake Texoma.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He was married in 1970 to Susan Schully Menzie and that union produced his two sons, which he cherished.
Mike is survived by his loving wife of 25 years Linda Menzie. children Matthew Menzie and wife Michele and Mark Menzie and his wife Carrie, 4 grand children Jackson and Addison Menzie and Kade and Cole Branson. His sister Mitzi Watts and her husband Jerry and two nephews, Chris and Jason Watts.
A visitation will be held Monday March 15 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, followed by a private burial with family.
