Michael Shofner, 66, of Denton passed away on October 22, 2022, at The Vintage Health Care Center. He was born October 14, 1956 in Pasadena, Texas to Garland Ray and Cleo Edwina Martin Shofner.

Michael joined the US Air Force in December of 1976, during that period of his life he lived in Victorville, CA. After his enlistment in the US Air Force ended in November of 1982, he relocated back to Texas. He was a mechanic for Southwest Airlines at his retirement. He loved airplanes, dogs, motorcycles and was an avid reader.

Interment services with be held at the Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery with Air Force honors on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at 10:30 AM.

He is survived by a sister Kathy and husband John Martin, niece Ashley Martin and her children Ava and Cody, niece, Melissa and husband Brandon Shangraw and their children Harper and Ella.

He was a wonderful uncle, brother, and son. He was preceded in death by his parents.
