Michael Skrhak, age 72, of Denton, beloved husband, son, uncle, & brother passed away peacefully on Monday, March 4, 2024, at his home.

Michael was a native Texan born in Houston on April 16, 1951 & grew up in the Spring Branch area. He graduated from Spring Branch High School in 1969. He also attended Blinn College before embarking on a 31-year career with Delta Air Lines, retiring in 2008.

Michael was a talented guitarist that could entertain his wife and friends with his music.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John & Alma Skrhak; & his brother, John Skrhak, Jr.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 45 years, Cynthia Skrhak of Denton; sisters, Linda Kimbrough & Brenda Levy; sister-in-law, Jean Lang; many nieces, nephews, & friends, also his faithful feline, Summer.

The world has never known a more loving husband, son, uncle, & brother. Our dearest Michael, we will love you always & anticipate with joy meeting you again. You will live on in our hearts of the many you touched.

The family wishes to express a special thank you to Dr. Sharad Jain, Texas Oncology, & The Visiting Nurses Association Ann's Haven Hospice for their loving care & concern for Michael.

A private graveside service for the immediate family will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. at Roselawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to your local animal shelter or adopting a homeless pet as Michael was an animal lover, & that cause was important to him.
