Michael Anthony Vindiola

Michael Anthony Vindiola passed away on June 2, 2026, in Decatur, Texas. He was born in Safford, Arizona in 1950 and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps until he retired in 1988. Michael's commitment to serving his country earned him the rank of Master Sergeant, and it was a defining chapter of his life, reflecting his unwavering sense of honor, courage, and commitment. He carried those values with him throughout his life. Semper Fidelis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rocky Vindiola and Helen Craig, his sister Mary Bencomo, and his step-brother Jim Craig. Michael is survived by his devoted wife, Cynthia Vindiola, who stood by his side and loved him deeply. He is also survived by his sister Teri Thiessen and her husband Ray Thiessen, sister Carolyn Antillon, niece Suzy Bojorquez whom he loved like a daughter and her husband Armando Bojorquez, son Joseph Vindiola of whom he loved and was very proud and his wife Cecilia Vindiola, his beloved grandson Brycen Vindiola and granddaughter Savannah Farley.

Those who knew Michael will remember him as a kind man who had a great sense of humor, was thoughtful, and generous. He loved to ride horses and go camping with friends, barbecue and do yardwork. He loved Denton County Cowboy Church where he served in the food pantry and mowed the property as long as he was able. He was baptized on August 3, 2025.

Michael Anthony Vindiola’s passing marks the loss of a remarkable individual. He will be remembered with great respect and affection by his friends, family and all who knew him.

A memorial service for Michael will be held on July 10, 2026, at Denton County Cowboy Church in Ponder at 7 pm.
