Obituary

Mildred J. Borth of Denton was born on October 7, 1934, in Camden, Arkansas, to Earl O. Hale and Vera (Mead) Hale, and died on July 2, 2023, in Denton. She graduated from Camden High School, Camden, Arkansas, in 1952, and received a BA degree from Ouachita Baptist University, formally Ouachita Baptist College in Arkadelphia, Arkansas in 1956. After graduation from college, she was employed as an office secretary for the Arkansas Baptist State Convention in Little Rock, Arkansas. On May 31, 1957, she married William Charles Borth, her high school and college boyfriend in Camden, Arkansas.

They made their home in Denton, where she was employed by Moore Business Forms.  She retired from Moore in 1990 after 33 years of service. After completing her service with Moore, Mildred did volunteer work at Denton Regional Medical Center, (the old Westgate Hospital).  Church activities were always a part of her life, and she enjoyed reading, planting flowers in her yard, hosting bible study classes in their home and she loved to travel. She and husband, Charles, traveled to different parts of the United States, as well as Canada, England, and Scotland.

Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, William Charles Borth, her parents and brother Edward Hale.

She is survived by her Sister-in-law, Linda Borth, several nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. A very special cousin, Donna Borth Stewart, considered by both Mildred and Charles, to be the daughter they never had, has dedicated the past 4+ years to loving and caring for them both. Her dedication, love, assistance and support to them was incredible.

The family would like to thank the directors, staff and nurses of Good Samaritan - Denton Village, Texas Oncology, and Solaris Hospice Care, for their sweet and loving care provided to Mildred over the past year.  Living Well staff and specifically Katie Swift have provided loving and wonderful caregiver services to Mildred and Charles for the past 4+ years.  The family will be forever grateful to all of these wonderful people that have made such a difference in Mildred's life.

Memorial gifts may be expressed through donations to Benchmark Bible Church to enhance the library of religious materials previously gifted to them upon William Charles Borth's passing.
