Mildred Joanne (Adams) Turney passed away at Presbyterian Hospital of Denton Monday morning, July 20, 2020.  Mickey (as she was known to all) was born on February 16, 1934 in Denver, Colorado to Glenn Frances Adams and Gladys S. (Bassett) Adams.

Mickey graduated from the University of Arkansas with a bachelor's degree in music.  She married H.A. Turney on September 21, 1958 in Meridian Mississippi.  They were married for almost 60 years when he preceded her in death on May 6, 2018.  Singing Oaks Church of Christ was their church home where they shared their life and love for Christ.

Mickey will be available for viewing Thursday, July 23, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. at DeBerry Funeral Directors.  Graveside services will be held at 9:30 a.m., on Friday July 24, 2020 at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton, TX.

Mickey is survived by 3 sons; Bobby and wife Rhonda Turney, Ed and wife Debbie Turney, Bill and wife Susannah Turney (all reside in Denton).

2 Sisters; Dorothy North (of Farmersville) and Pat and husband John Breland (of Alabama).

1 Brother; Gene Adams of Florida (preceded her in death).

5 grandchildren and 10 great grand children.
