Minor Simms, Jr. passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2017 in Denton. He was born to Minor and Esther (Bolding) Simms, Sr. on November 3, 1961 in Altus, Oklahoma. He married Leslie Jo Jackson in Denton and worked in the construction field.

He is survived by his wife, Leslie Jo Jackson, daughters, Myria Simms of Oak Cliff, Tiffany Simms of Goldthwaite, Trisha Simms of Mesquite, son, Cache Simms of Denton, sisters, Trudy Sherman of Las Vegas, N.V. and Penny Simms of Quinlan, Texas, brothers, Shawn Simms of N. Carolina, Barry Sherman of Idaho and twelve grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father and brother, Gary Sherman.

The family will receive friends on Monday February 27, 2017 from 2-3 P.M. with a memorial service following at 3:00 P.M. in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors.
