Miryam Alvarez, 81, of Denton, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2015 in Arlington. She was born October 26, 1933 in Lima, Peru to Carlos O. and Filomena Josefina Vega Perez. She was a strong woman of faith. She loved music, dancing, and entertaining. She always had a smile and made others laugh. Above all, she loved her children and grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 1, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Funeral Mass will be Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 10:30 A.M. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Tim Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Carlos Wiesse, Curtis Claytor, Trevor Claytor, Tim Kysiak, Jose Gonzalez and Jeff Finch.
She is survived by her mother, Filomena Perez of Arlington; daughters, Doris Finch of Spring, Texas and Jeanette Claytor of Denton; sons, Victor Alvarez of Frisco and Walter Alvarez of Highland Village; sisters, Ileana Wiesse of Arlington, Marlene Razetto and Norah Pesantez, both of Lima, Peru; 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
