Mitchell Dwain
Goodger

Mitchell Dwain Goodger passed away on June 10, 2021, at the age of 74. On February 28, 1947, in his grandparent's rock home in Springhill/Aubrey, Texas Mitchell was born to Joe Harold & Fae Goodger. Mitchell was raised by his loving grandparents, Chester & Letrus Thomas. Mr. & Mrs. Thomas ran a dairy farm, so at an early age Mitchell was taught the valuable lesson of hard work.
On June 26, 1965, in the same rock home he was born in, Mitchell married the love of his life, Carol. Together Carol & Mitchell spent 56 wonderful years together raising a family & making many, many memories.
Mitchell was a master at anything he chose to do, this included his career: brick manufacturing & building custom homes. He had a long career with Acme Brick Company, moving from the Denton, Texas location to the Malvern, Arkansas location where he was named "Plant Manager of the Year" in 1984. The last 10 years of his career he was the General Manager of Snyder Brick & Tile, Co. in Snyder, Texas. Mitchell retired in 2010 & returned to his hometown of Aubrey.
Mitchell always looked forward to vacationing in Colorado with his family, where he had spent many happy times visiting his grandparents. Outside of work, Mitchell's pride & joy was his tractor & his '55 Ford Crown Victoria. but of course, his biggest pride & joy was his family.
