Obituary

Mitchell "Dean" Marks, 50, of Fort Worth and formerly of Tiffin, OH died unexpectedly Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014 in Fort Worth.

He was born Feb. 20, 1964 in Clarksburg, West Virginia to Dennis M. and Linda L. (Bonnell) Marks, and they survive in Perrysville. He married Susan Wilson on Sept. 9, 1995, in Tiffin, OH and she survives in Fort Worth.

Other survivors include his three children, Trae (Kayla) Marks, Lacey Marks and Blair Wilson, all of Dallas-Fort Worth; two sisters, Maria (Legs) Zickefoose and Melinda (Rob) Wynn, all of Loudonville; and his two grandchildren, Lillianna and Dominic Marks, whom he adored; two sisters-in-law, Kendra Marks of Bloomville and Chris Wilson of Tiffin; a brother and sister-in-law, Dave and Roberta Wilson of Columbus; a father and mother-in-law, Jim and Marilyn Wilson of Tiffin; and many nieces, nephew, great nieces and great nephews, whom he adored. He was especially close to his brother's sons, Matt, Cyle, Dennis and Bryan.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Matthew Darek Marks; a sister, Julia Marks; his mother-in-law, Marjorie Wilson; and a brother-in-law; Robert J. Wilson.

Dean was a sales representative for Sandvik Mining and Construction, based in Bristol, Virginia. Dean covered the central and southern area of the United States. He considered his position with Sandvik as his dream job, because he got to share his knowledge of the industry and travel to many new places. He considered his customers to be his friends. He previously worked as a foreman/supervisor for SE Johnson, Ebony Construction and BOCA Construction.

Dean was a 1982 graduate of Old Fort High School. Dean enjoyed his life and lived it to the fullest. He loved riding motorcycles and tinkering with cars, especially his grandfather's 1949 Ford pickup. He was known for his quick wit and endless source of pranks and jokes. He has left us with so many happy memories for which we are so grateful.

Visitation will be Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014 from 3 – 5 pm at DeBerry Funeral Directors, 2025 W. University Dr., Denton, TX 76201.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project or to a charity of the donor's choice.

Dean and I, Susan, want to especially thank our Texas "family," Richard, Vanessa, Josh and Brooklyn Webb; Jeff and Tonia McCloud; Matt McPherson and Emily Pond; Danny Simpson; and the whole Tex-Op Construction, they truly are wonderful friends.

We are all wondering what kind of trouble Darek and Darn are into now that they are together again.

Dean was an outstanding husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. He will be forever in our hearts and minds.
