Montie Rea Smith Ivison was born June 11, 1926 in Snyder, TX to Isaac Franklin and Rosa May Wood Smith. She lived life with an unwavering faith in her Lord. She was a nurse, heart and soul, to everyone she encountered. Even at the age of 75 she was volunteering at her local nursing home offering love, humor, and encouragement to those there. Unconditional love and joyful humor was her gift to everyone she encountered.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 16, 2014 from 2:00 – 3:00 pm prior to the service at 3:00 at Singing Oaks Church of Christ, 101 Cardinal, Denton, Texas 76209 with Ross Thomson officiating. Burial will be Monday, November 17, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Old Algerita Cemetery in San Saba County, Texas.

Proceeded in death by the father of her seven children, Allie E. Ivison, Sr., and daughters, Carolyn Marie Ivison Tuttle and Debra Jo Ivison Garcia.

Survived by 2 sons-Allie E. Ivison, Jr. and Barry W. & Barbara Ivison; 3 daughters-Susan A. Ivison White, Sharon J. Ivison Cunningham, and Sheila R. Ivison & Mike Harper; 7 grandsons-Cary & Amy Roach, Charlie Tuttle, Chris & Jonnie Roach, CJ & Sierra Cunningham, Isaac & Brittany Garcia, Allie & Rachel Ivison, and Shawn & Kendra Ivison; 9 granddaughters-Nicole & Chris Jones, Candace & James Tucker, Alissa Washington, Shanna Mercer, Erica Ivison, Ashley & Ethan DeVillier, Courtney Ivison, Ryan Warner, Cati & Matt McJunkins; 12 great grandsons-Casey Herd, Aaron Tuttle, Trey Tuttle, Hayden Roach, Robert DesJardins III, Case Mercer, Eldon Ivison, Jayden Gregory, Kyser Gregory, Randon DeVillier, Christopher McJunkins, Clint McJunkins; 9 great granddaughters-Haylee Tucker, Josie Garcia, Layla Garcia, Sierra Raven, Tori Washington, Adele Ivison, Madison Ivison, Adisyn DeVillier, Avyn DeVillier; 2 great-great grandsons-Hayden Tuttle, Gavin Roach.
