Obituary

On October 25, 1940 Morris Glenn Morgan, Jr. was born in McKinney, Texas. His parents, Morris Glenn Morgan, Sr. and Callie Wade Morgan were proud to welcome their firstborn child. Morris acquired many names over the course of this lifetime. He was first known as Son, by his parents. Close relatives usually called him Morris Glenn, and those from Old Frisco often called him Possum. He gained his favorite name in 1986, when he gained the title of Pa.

Morris graduated from Frisco High School in 1959. During his years as a Fighting Frisco Coon he earned many athletic accolades. In 1961, he met and married the love of his life, Bonita Shelton, and showed her the world. Together they raised their daughter and two sons in Pilot Point. Morris's greatest loves were his family and Jesus Christ. He spent his lifetime creating a legacy of love and traditions. More than anything he loved telling others about his abiding hope and faith in Jesus Christ, who he came to know at a tent revival in Lebanon, Texas at an early age.

He came to Pilot Point after a stint at Paris Junior College to manage Morgan & Son feed store. He then became a real estate broker selling farm and ranch real estate. Most of the time when he wasn't with his family, you could find him looking at land or working the cattle on his ranch in his cowboy hat. He went on many mission trips to spread the Gospel. He was a member of Mustang Baptist Church and led the Adult Bible Study Class.

Morris Glenn Morgan Jr. went home to be with his Lord & Savior Jesus Christ early on November 5th, 2022 at home surrounded by his family.
