Myron Owen Lublin
'a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend'
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Myron Owen Lublin, on Saturday, October 28, 2023, in Denton, Texas.
Myron, 81, was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on June 21, 1942. He was the second youngest of fifteen children born to Blaine and Della May Lublin. The family later moved to Moses Lake, Washington, where Myron spent his formative years.
Following his LDS mission in Northern California, Myron met Cheryl Louise Woolstenhulme, whom he married on December 12, 1964, in San Diego, California. Together they raised five children to adulthood. Myron was a small business owner for many years in California, working long, hard hours in support of his family.
Myron enjoyed any and every type of word puzzle, very much loved to read and was an avid sports-fan as well as a participant in his younger years. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his gift of gab and his competitive nature.
Myron experienced a cardiac episode in early July. He was recuperating nicely when he fell and broke his femur, necessitating a hip replacement. It was during recovery from hip surgery that he suffered a stroke and once more found himself in rehabilitation. While again making great progress, he fell victim to severe internal bleeding, which proved too great a challenge in his weakened state.
Myron is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, seven sisters, and his loving wife of 58 years, Cheri.
Myron is survived by his five adult children: Glen Richard (wife Taya) of California, Diana Linn of Idaho, Nanci Kaye (husband Nate) of Texas, Brad Anthony of Washington, and Paul Douglas (wife Jodie) of Illinois; his four adult grandchildren: Jared Beal (wife Ashley) of Idaho, Kaylinn Beal Gozart (husband Ben) of Utah, Trey Beal of Idaho, and Taylor Lublin Chavez (husband Marvin) of California; his sister Lois of California, and brothers Lynn (wife Penny) of Washington and Gene (wife Marcella) of Kansas.
If desired, in lieu of flowers, please make a memorial donation to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation https://www.macular.org/ supporting research, education, and awareness of an ailment Myron suffered from for many years.
A memorial service will be held November 19, 2023, at 4 pm CT, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1801 Malone Street, Denton, TX 76201.
