Nancy Dinnes, 85, of Denton passed away on March 11, 2023, in Denton. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 4, 1938, to Thor and Irene Nielson.

Nancy was an avid traveler who globetrotted around the world whenever she had the opportunity.  She loved to experience different cultures and make new friends everywhere she visited.  Nancy was involved in many local and global charities, generously investing to make the world a better place.

Nancy was especially fond of her beloved dogs and cats, which were always spoiled with love and attention.

Nancy adored her friends and loved spending time talking about her travels, local events, and topics du jour over a great glass of wine.

Mostly though, Nancy was lovingly devoted to her family.  Family time was nourishment for her soul.  She was an unconditionally loving and supportive mother that always put her children's happiness as her top priority.

She is survived by her sons, Kurt Dinnes and wife Megan of Norman, Oklahoma, and Mark Dinnes and wife Kryste of Austin, Texas, four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, from 5-7 PM at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas. Funeral services will be held at the Dallas/Ft. Worth National Cemetery on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at 9:30 A.M.
