Nancy L. Griffin, 77, of Denton passed away, Friday, April 25, 2014 in Corinth. She was born August 19, 1936 in Indianapolis, IN to Oran Griffin and Rhuie Griffin. She was a member of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church.

She graduated from TWU in 1958. She earned her doctorate degree in 1972 from Indiana University. She taught at TWU in the Occupational Therapy Department for 30 years. She was active in The American Occupational Therapy Association and was an Elder at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church.

Nancy loved to travel and make handicrafts for other people. She was Director of Volunteers for Ann's Haven Hospice for many years as well as being active in Ann's Haven Light Up A Light project.

She is survived by her companion, Robert Schumm of Denton and nephew, John Horsman of Maryland.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made to St. Andrew Presbyterian Church or Ann's Haven Hospice.  A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 1, 2014 at the St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Denton.
