Nancy Laura Monk, 72 of Lewisville passed away January 23, 2018 at home in Lewisville.  She was born March 1, 1945 in Dallas to William Carol Petty and Louise Isabell McGinty Petty.  She married Richard Cozet Monk, who preceded her in death.  Nancy was a Cafeteria employee for the Lewisville Independent School District.

She is survived by three daughters, Cathy Monk, Edna Reilly, Karla Miles and husband Melvin all of Lewisville, son, Ronald Monk Sr. and wife Celeste of Gainesville, two brothers, William "Bill" Petty of Euless, Tim Petty Sr. of Bonham and nineteen grandchildren and twenty-seven great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Friday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. with the service to follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors.  Burial will follow at Old Hall Cemetery in Lewisville.
