Nancy Louise Rollins, 83, of Highland Village, TX, passed away on August 27, 2022 at her home. She was born in Denton, Texas to Floyd and Louise Jolly.

Nancy graduated from Eagle Pass High School where she was an honor graduate and played on the tennis and basketball teams. She moved back to Denton and attended North Texas Teachers College in Denton, TX (currently the University of North Texas) where she received her Bachelors degree in Education. It was here that she met Billy Rollins and they married in 1960. Her first teaching position was at Wallace Elementary School in Dallas, TX. She taught there for several years and then moved on to teach 6th grade Science at James Bowie Elementary in Richardson, TX where she remained for 30+ years. She continued to enjoy sports throughout her life and coached both of her daughters' softball and soccer teams for many years. Nancy was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and never missed a game. One of her favorite pastimes was watching Westerns.
Nancy spent most of her retirement years living on a ranch in Ranger, TX with her husband, several cats, dogs, cattle and horses. She loved cats and donated her time helping many animal organizations. She moved from the ranch over two and a half years ago to live with her daughter, Linda, in Highland Village until her death.

Nancy is survived by her daughters, Laurie Elaine McDaniel and her spouse, Suzanne Atkins of Plano, Linda Ellen McDaniel Johnson and her husband, Jackie Dewayne Johnson, grandchildren, Jaden Harold Dewayne Johnson, and Madison Annalee Johnson from Highland Village.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Rollins, and her mother and father.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 2, 2022 from 1-2PM in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors, funeral services will begin at 2:00 PM, in the Chapel. Interment will be held at Belew Cemetery in Aubrey, Texas.
