Obituary

Neva Fowler Wilson, of Levelland, Texas, passed from this life on January 13, 2025, in Denton, Texas. She was 83 years old. No services are scheduled at this time.

She was born December 30, 1941 in Crosbyton, Texas to Arnal and Edna Fowler.

Neva was a registered nurse in the DFW area for many years. She retired as an instructor of nursing from South Plains College after over two decades of teaching and mentoring students. Neva was a lifelong, avid reader. She also was an animal lover who rescued many stray animals. In her later years, after partially losing her sight, she enjoyed watching old westerns and television shows such as Dr Jeff: Rocky Mountain Vet, and Pit Bulls and Parolees.

Neva was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband of 58 years, Bobby Wilson. Neva is survived by her children Shauna Wilson Falcinelli (Dominic) of Denton, Bobby Wayne Wilson, Jr. of Denton, and Stacey Wilson Swenson (Mike) of Little Elm, and her grandchildren Maverick Swenson, Rebekah Swenson, Tony Falcinelli (Melody), Phelan Graham, and Ronan Graham.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made in Neva's memory to the South Plains College scholarship fund in Levelland, Texas, St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, or Shriners Hospital for Children. Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of the professionals at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas.
