IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Nick Rocco
Calandro
April 28, 1974 – September 4, 2023
Nicholas "Nick" Rocco Calandro, 49, of Denton passed away on September 4, 2023. He was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut on April 28, 1974, to Joseph and Angela (Calabrese) Calandro.
Nick was a hard worker. He attended the University of Central Connecticut before graduating from UCONN with his bachelors.
Dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. There were no limits to the lengths he would go to for his family. He spent many days playing and dancing with his granddaughter. They had a bond like no other. He also had a love for music where we would all remember either listening to Pink Floyd or Kiss, among other favorites. He enjoyed cooking and exploring what food other places had to offer, and anything that related to Star Wars. One of the things he enjoyed doing was traveling to new cities and seeing the sports franchises with his son or his friends. Nicholas also enjoyed traveling and going on adventures with his wife of 23 years, whom he loved dearly and would do anything for.
He was the kind of man that wouldn't stop making jokes until you
laughed, and wouldn't leave you alone until you were okay. His laugh was infectious, no matter
what you were feeling, you couldn't help but laugh with him. The kind of person that a stranger
felt comfortable talking to, even though he always wondered why. He was stubborn in more ways
than one, a lover, and such a fighter. His daughter and son will forever be grateful for the love
and lessons he gave them.
He is survived by his wife, Xiomara Calandro of Denton, daughter, Diamante Avellanet of Bridgeport, Connecticut, son, Michael Calandro of Denton, and grandchild, Adriana Gonzalez.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father.
