IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Nita L.
Isom
December 30, 1931 – April 16, 2021
Nita L. (Simpson) Isom, 89, of Carrollton entered the Kingdom of Heaven on Friday, April 16, 2021 at her home in Carrollton. Nita who her family lovingly called "TuTu" was born December 30, 1931 in Denton to Ceal Mayon Hughes and Dessie Juanita Mason. She graduated from Denton High School in 1949 and attended NTSU (now UNT) where she was voted most beautiful in 1950. She started her career as an Assistant with the Federal Civil Defense Administration and later became Assistant to the Commissioner for the Immigration & Naturalization Service of the U. S. Federal Government.
When asked by her daughter Luann earlier this week what was the first thing she wanted to say to Jesus when she gets to Heaven, her reply was "Oh Honey, I just want to lay a Crown at His feet and say Thank you!" As she took her last breath with her daughter and granddaughter on each side in locked hands, we knew instantly that TuTu was doing just that, laying her crown at Jesus' feet. We couldn't help but Rejoice. Mom you were a Great Mother, a Great Friend, A Great Teacher, a Great Example, an even Greater Witness and Warrior for our Glorious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! We will miss you for now but can't wait till we see each other again for all eternity to worship our King!!
Nita is survived by her daughter, Luann Simpson Thomas of Conroe; son, Mark Adrian Simpson of Gordonville; and 1 granddaughter, Abigail Seth Thomas who she always called "Her Long Stem American Beauty Rose" and the Sunshine of her Life! Nita is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dr. Newman Burck Isom and sister, Mary Carolyn Hopkins.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the wonderful doctors and staff of Little Lantern Hospice over the past 4 weeks for their unwavering love, care and kindness shown their mother. Each special Caregiver brought such great happiness to TuTu each day. Thank you Mollie, Reenu, Monica and Marie …..you were a Godsend to us and now part of our family forever.
