Nora Blanche McNatt Grissom, age 97, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2024, in Grandview, Texas.

Nora was born on June 23, 1927, to Floyd McNatt and Willie Blanche (Rogers) McNatt. Nora, known as Nonnie to friends, was a hard worker all of her life. As a young girl, she helped her family pick cotton and other crops in the fields. She was employed as a desk clerk for laundry at Texas State College for Women, now called Texas Women's University. Later, she worked for over 30 years for Moore Business Forms in Denton, TX.

Nora married John Finley Grissom in Denton, TX. She loved cooking and baking and entertaining family and friends. Some of her favorite hobbies were canning vegetables from her garden, camping, and fishing. Nora was always welcoming if someone needed a place to stay or a meal to eat. She enjoyed listening to music, especially George Strait, Ricky Van Shelton, The Statler Brothers, and The Oakridge Boys.

Nora was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, son, Sam McNatt, daughter, Arlene Boydston, grandson, John Boydston and brother,  Doyce McNatt. She is survived by daughter in law, Linda McNatt, daughter, Linda (Don) Crombie, granddaughters, Kim (Jason) Holder, Elizabeth (Dwight) Crocker, Phyllis Glenn, Donna Rankin, and Carrie (David) Flores, grandsons, Keith Boydston, Danny Boydston,  Douglas Boydston, and Phillip Crombie,  great grandchildren Kylee Flores, Kami Flores, Alex Gomez, Miles Gomez, Mady Gomez, Sofia Crocker, Mackenzie Crocker, Corin Holder, Leah Holder, and Maddox Holder and many beloved nieces and nephews, cousins and close friends.

Visitation will be held on August 12, 2024, at 10:00am at DeBerry Funeral Home 2025 West University, Denton, TX 76201 with service beginning at 11:00am.  Following the service Nora will be laid to rest at Trinity Cemetery 712 S. Trinity Road, Denton, TX  76208.

Nora blessed all who knew her with joy and love. We will hold tight the wonderful memories we have of her and the remarkable life she lived.
