Obituary
Norma Carter McManis, 78, of Denton, TX passed away on July 26, 2014 at her residence.
Norma was born on July 23, 1936 in Calvin, Virginia to Wade Howard and Lois (Duncan) Carter. After finishing high school at John Handley High School in Winchester, VA Norma completed nursing school at Pensacola Junior College obtaining an RN degree. Norma practiced nursing in ER, ICU, and CCU at several hospitals and finished her career as the Nursing Director for Pensacola Cluster Facility.
On Feb 26, 1960 Norma married David Lee McManis in Gulf Breeze, Florida. A loving mother of four children she is survived by three sons; Scott, Mark and Tod McManis, and her daughter, Cynthia Reneke; two brothers, Richard Carter and Wade Carter Jr., one sister, Judy Richardson and nine grandchildren.
Norma was a skilled seamstress whose hobbies included knitting, sewing, reading, and doting on her grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on August 15, 2014 at 6pm at Rockpointe Church in Flower Mound, TX.
