Norma Jean Meeks, 81, of Justin went to be with the Lord on August 30, 2016 in Denton, Texas. She was born on August 12, 1935 in Minn. to Floyd E. Long and Mable Irene Legore Long. She married John B. Meeks on January 18, 1952 in Valley Centa, CA. He preceded her in death on April 4, 2009.

Norma is survived by her three sons, John Meeks of Justin, Daniel Meeks and wife Terri of Paradise, Blane Meeks and wife Alicia of Chesapeake, VA, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Peggy Barksdale, two brothers, Bill Long and Dale Long.

Visitation will be held prior to the Memorial Service from 2:00 - 3:00 P.M.on Saturday, September 3, 2016 with the service begin at 3:00 P.M. in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas.
