IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Norman Michael
Napora
August 4, 1941 – January 5, 2021
Norman Michael Napora, 79, went to his eternal home on January 5, 2021. Norm was born in Buffalo, New York on August 4, 1941 to Michael and Victoria Napora.
He graduated from St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute, Midwestern College in Dennison, Ohio and received his master's degree from Northwestern University in Illinois. Norm was a sales representative for M Jacob & Sons for his entire professional career. He was a salesman through and through, always a good listener, resilient, empathetic, insightful and passionate. Norm was devoted to his Catholic faith; active in his parish, loved bible study and never missed "second church." He was a true sports fan and was passionate about rooting for his favorite teams. He was known for his unwavering support of University of Michigan football and would root for his children and grandchildren's favorite teams and alma maters.
Brandy, his wife of 22 years, and Norm enjoyed traveling, especially to Las Vegas, art exhibits and spent many days at the horse races watching their horses' race and scouting the competition. After retirement, he and Brandy moved to Texas and Robson Ranch to spend their golden years close to his children and grandchildren. Norm had three beloved children; Jennifer, Andrew and Christine, who were the light of his life and 7 grandchildren, Annie, Averi, Caitlyn, Catherine, Caroline, Drew and Jack who he was so proud of and who he loved so very much.
Norm always had a furry companion by his side to share his life with, most recently his dog Sam. You would often find Norm in the backyard for a family BBQ, at the wood shop creating treasures and at the softball field playing, coaching, managing, scorekeeping or announcing the game. He would never miss a family birthday celebration or holiday gathering, Christmas being his favorite. Norm stayed busy and active; after Brandy passed away in 2008, he committed to volunteering weekly at Presbyterian Hospital in Denton as a return of service for the good care they had given her.
He was involved in Support Our Troops, Knights of Columbus, the Robson Ranch Softball League, Coffee Club, Poker, Euchre and most recently Corn-Toss. Norm was the life of the party, always present in your conversations and ready to lend a helping hand. His ability to make friends was like no other, to know him was to love him and he was loved by many. Norm never met a stranger which is evident by the countless friends and loved ones he considered family.
Norm was preceded in death by his wife, Brandy Patricia Napora. He is survived by his daughter Jennifer Whitlock and her husband Chris, his son Andrew Napora and his wife Sara, his daughter Christine Elias and her husband Michael, grandchildren Caitlyn, Catherine and Caroline Whitlock, Drew and Jack Napora, Annie and Averi Elias.
