Oleta Ann Loopey, 74, of Denton passed away peacefully in her home on January 29, 2017. She was born on September 2, 1942 in Kaufman, Texas to Hubert and Venetta Hussong.

Oleta was known to her family as "Tootise", had the patience of Job and lived her life by faith. Her love for her family was tireless and never ending as evidenced by taking care of her mother and Down syndrome sister after her father passed away, along with taking care of her children and the countless others that showed up at her door. She was a true woman of strength, compassion and kindness. She was an avid animal lover who took in any stray that came along. She loved to cook and bake. In her younger years she was quite the dancer. We will miss her greatly but know she is in heaven with our savior.

Oleta is survived by her daughter, Sissy Runions and husband Don, son, Wylie Johnson, grandchildren, Emilie Runions, Mark Runions, Crystal Cartwright, Phillip Johnson, six great grandchildren, brother, Sammy Hussong and wife Janera, nephews, Kyle Hussong, Kenneth Hussong and wife Patti, niece, Christina Hussong, numerous great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Loopey, parents, Hubert and Venetta Hussong, sisters, Jennie Hussong, Ruby Norris, brother, Robert Hussong and niece, Tori Hussong.

Visitation will be held prior to service on Wednesday February 1, 2017 from 1-2 P.M. at DeBerry Funeral Directors. A Graveside services will be Wednesday February 1, 2017 at 2:30 at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton, Texas.

In lieu of flowers we ask that donations be made to the Special Olympics.
