Orletta Marlene Hogard, 80 of Corinth, Texas, passed away December 28, 2016 in Denton, Texas. She was born on December 14, 1936 in Kingman, Kansas to Hobart and Leota (Cannon) Boroughs.
She attended Kingman High School graduating in 1955 and attended Mercy School of Nursing in Ft. Scott, Kansas graduating in 1957. She worked as a Registered Nurse in Kingman, Wichita and Kansas City. While working in Kansas City she met her future husband, Leo. They were married in Kansas City, Mo. on June 1, 1963 and made their first home in Rolla Missouri.
After Leo graduated from school, they would begin the adventure of moving many times to many states and was especially excited when a job opportunity took Leo and her to Egypt. While in Egypt she was able to travel across Europe and see many things. She was never afraid to try new things or meet new people.
She was a member of St. Marks Catholic Church in Argyle, Texas, The Garden Club of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Oakmont women's Club, The Red Hatters and Cairo, Egypt Woman's Club.
She is Survived by her husband, Leo, daughters, Connie Bishop and husband Tim of St. Cloud, Florida, Sandy Beffa and husband Andy of Corinth, Texas, son, Tim Hogard of Melbourne, Australia, brother, Skeeter Boroughs of Kingman, Kansas, grandchildren; Ashley, Casey, Cooper, Kyle, Carson, Grant, Courtney and Kinley and great-grandchild, Braydan.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas from 6-8, a Rosary will be said at 7 P.M.
A Mass will be held at St. Marks Catholic Church in Argyle, Texas on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 10:00 A.M.
